Bachelor's and Master's Programmes

The Swiss university schools of Fine Arts, Design, Music, Theatre, Dance, Creative Writing, and Conservation/Restoration offer around 7000 study places in German-, French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland. The schools are integrated into the seven Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences. In Autumn 2005 the first bachelor’s degree programmes were introduced in accordance with Bologna reform. A broad range of Master’s degree programmes will be available as of Autumn 2008. The previous Diploma programmes will be discontinued.

The top priority of the Swiss university schools of the arts is to offer artistic and artistic-pedagogical education of the highest quality. They conduct research, promote continuing education, and assume a key role in the cultural life of their region. They cultivate exchange across national borders and between disciplines.
